// The Beachcombers

My first short film ‘The Beachcombers’ was funded by Film London via The Lewisham Film Initiative and was winner of The Film London Best Of Borough Audience Award 2009 (BoBs) presented at BAFTA and chosen by the viewers of ITV London.
The ‘feel good’ film was shot over two days in January 2008 on the banks of the River Thames.
Super16mm (Colour)                      Running Time: 10:00

Divided by the vast expanse of water that is the River Thames, and afraid to make the first move, shy recluses Simon and Claire are united by their fixation with beachcombing the riverbanks in search of rare antiquities.

However, when Simon unearths an old coin, it gives him the ideal opportunity to finally cross over the river.

The Beachcombers is a quirky, heart-warming tale of friendship and love, set against the backdrop of modern day London.
